How long we keep your personal information?

We retain your personal information for as long as necessary to provide the services you have requested, or for other essential purposes such as complying with our legal obligations, resolving disputes, and enforcing our policies. 

For example, in order to satisfy Anti Money Laundering, Know Your Customer requirements and for address verification purposes, users of MAZZADY are required to provide their personal details, passport copy or government ID and proof of address. This information remains encrypted on the data storage server we use until the user requests to delete their profile. Upon such а request, users who have no outstanding payments can close their accounts. Under UAE Federal Law No 2 of 2015 Commercial Companies, it is our obligation to retain records for five years, unless in the cases related to real estate where the retention policy is fifteen.

How long we retain personal information can vary significantly based on the context of the services we provide and on our legal obligations. After it is no longer necessary for us to retain your personal information, we will dispose of it in a secure manner.

 

Regarding Children

The MAZZADY services are not directed to children under the age of 18, no matter where they live, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children under the age of 18 without obtaining parental consent. If you are under 18 years of age, then please do not use or access the MAZZADY services at any time or in any manner. If we learn that personal information has been collected on the MAZZADY services from persons under 18 years of age and without verifiable parental consent, then we will take the appropriate steps to delete this information. If you are a parent or guardian and discover that your child under 18 years of age has provided personal information, then you may alert us as set forth in the “Contact details” section and request that we delete that child’s personal information from our systems.
